The Digital Security Collective is a network of frontline digital security organizations dedicated to supporting movements in the United States as they navigate complex technological changes.
We seek to improve coordination, response, and support to these groups, and secure resources for our network members to provide high quality, responsive services.
What We Do
We deliver hands-on technical support, manage rapid-response grant-making, and provide field leadership on emerging best practices. Our open movement training programs collectively reach over 3,500 workers and activists annually.
To align and expand the impact of our collective work, the DSC engages in activities such as:
-
Building and cultivating a vibrant Community of Practice centered on continuous learning, sharing threat intelligence, and refining pedagogical approaches.
-
Using our collective expertise to produce new educational resources on digital security, and secure free or low-cost resources for communities we serve.
-
Building a centralized Help Desk for streamlined client intake and referral, so we can match movements with the exact expertise they need.
Thanks to generous seed funding support, we meet in person twice a year, with active working groups that regularly convene to achieve the above goals.
